• 1. Senior Resident in the Department of Biochemistry, SRMC&RI, SRIHER from January 2022 to February 2024 (2 years)
• 2. Junior Consultant Biochemist, Kanchi Kamakoti CHILDS trust hospital from November 2018 to December 2021 (3 years)

Dr.A.K.Roopa is a dedicated teacher and is a good learner. She has been involved in various academic activities in the curriculum based medical education(CBME) for MBBS students. She had also been the course coordinator for BSc Nursing and other allied health science courses. Her research focus is on Atherosclerosis, Coronary Artery Disease and Diabetes mellitus . She has also guided MBBS and BSc MLT students in their research activities.. She has been awarded ‘Prof . S. Gopalakrishnan memorial prize for metabolic medicine’ during her post graduation. She is a life member of Association of Medical Biochemists of India (AMBI).

3. 3. “Association of DeRitis ratio with the clinical progression of Diabetic nephropathy in patients with type 2 Diabetes mellitus”
4. 4. “ Evaluation of impact of Red blood cell indices on glycated haemoglobin levels”
5. 5.“Serum soluble CD36 levels in the clinical progression of Diabetic nephropathy”
