With a deep commitment to shaping young minds, she has dedicated her efforts as the Director of Student Affairs at SRM Institute of Science and Technology to go beyond textbook education and instilling valuable life lessons in her students. Mythili as a kindred spirit and entrusted her with the important task of assisting in the establishment of the Career Development Centre approximately a decade ago. Her strong leadership skills and guidance have been instrumental in directing the successful execution of the National level cultural fest MILAN, which provides an impressive platform for students to showcase their talents and explore their potential.

Academically, Dr. T. Mythili boasts an impressive array of qualifications. She holds a Ph.D. in Soft Skills and has completed her MA, M.Phil, M.Ed, and MBA from the esteemed Madras University. However, her contributions extend far beyond her administrative duties. Over the years, she has made a profound impact on the lives of countless students who have walked through the portals of this esteemed institution. Dr. R. Jayanthi is a distinguished academic leader, clinician, and medical administrator with over three decades of exemplary service in medical education, clinical practice, research, academic governance, and public healthcare. She brings to SRM Institute of Science and Technology a rare blend of visionary leadership, administrative acumen, and deep commitment to institutional excellence.

Prior to joining SRMIST, Dr. Jayanthi served with exceptional distinction as Dean of Government Medical Colleges for more than six years, including a highly impactful tenure of three years as Dean of Madras Medical College and Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital, Chennai. This institution stands among Asia’s oldest and largest public medical and tertiary care hospitals. She retired from Tamil Nadu Government service in March 2023.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Jayanthi played a pivotal leadership role as Head of the Task Force at Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital and Omandurar Government Hospital, guiding large-scale clinical operations and emergency response during an unprecedented public health crisis.

Her contributions to institutional development are significant and far-reaching. They include establishing NABL accreditation for pathology laboratories, securing the first-ever NIRF ranking for Madras Medical College, and pioneering the Emergency Medicine Department at Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital.

An accomplished academician and researcher, Dr. Jayanthi has published extensively in reputed indexed journals. She served as Editor-in-Chief of a COVID-19 reference book and has been the Principal Investigator for two international and two national clinical trials.

Dr. Jayanthi holds Fellowships from the Royal Colleges of Physicians of London, Edinburgh, and Glasgow (FRCP). She also serves as an International Expert Advisor to the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.

Her numerous honours include the Best Performing Dean Award, Government of Tamil Nadu awards for COVID-19 management and Emergency Services, the Prof. M. S. Ramachandran Oration Award, and the Tamil Nadu Medical Council Award for Excellence in Medical Teaching (2022).

Dr. D. Jagadeswaran is a senior academician, administrator, researcher, and clinician with over 23 years of extensive experience in Allied and Healthcare Professions. His career reflects sustained contributions to academics, institutional leadership, policy development, research, and clinical practice.

He holds a unique national distinction as the first Allied and Healthcare Professional in India from the field of Dialysis Technology to have completed a Ph.D. in accordance with University Grants Commission (UGC) regulations, marking a significant milestone for the profession.

Dr. Jagadeswaran currently serves as the President of the Professional Council for Medical Technologists, Physician Associates, Biomedical and Medical Equipment Technology under the National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions (NCAHP), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. In this role, he actively contributes to shaping national standards, regulatory frameworks, and professional advancement within the allied health sector.

His academic and governance roles extend across multiple institutions. He serves as a member of the Board of Studies, Academic Council, and Governing Council of various universities across India. He is also a NAAC Assessor and a Member of the Course Evaluation Committee under the Nan Mudhalavan initiative of the Government of Tamil Nadu.

Dr. Jagadeswaran’s professional excellence has been recognised through 12 awards, reflecting his impact in academics, leadership, and healthcare education.
