Pediatric Intensive Care Workshop for Postgraduates
The Department of Pediatrics at SRM MCH & RC Kattankulathur, in association with IAP Chengalpattu and IAP Intensive Care chapter – Tamil Nadu & Puducherry, organized a comprehensive workshop titled “Pediatric Intensive Care Primer for Postgraduates” on May 2nd, 2024.
The workshop, aimed at enhancing the knowledge and skills of pediatric postgraduates, saw an impressive turnout of 49 delegates from various institutes in and around Chengalpattu and Chennai.
Dr. S. Subash, Head of the Department of Pediatrics at SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, and President of IAP Chengalpattu, delivered the welcome address. The program was inaugurated by Dr. A. Sundaram, Advisor (MHS).

The workshop covered essential topics pivotal in Pediatric Intensive Care, including the management of shock, ventilation, and ICU care. Following discussions, a hands-on workshop featuring simulations of non-invasive and invasive ventilation, as well as point-of-care ultrasound, provided participants with practical experience.
The event was a resounding success, offering invaluable insights and fostering collaborative learning among pediatric healthcare professionals.
