SRM Medical College Hospital & Research Centre’s Faculty Member’s Achievement at the 14th National Eye Bank Annual Conference

Mr. A. Velu, Eye Bank Manager in the Department of Ophthalmology, took part in the 14th National Eye Bank Annual Conference held at Bhubaneswar, Odisha, from 14th to 15th September 2024.

Mr. Velu delivered an insightful presentation on “Cornea Allocation as per THOA: How Far Are We Prepared?” These issues addressed the critical elements of corneal distribution under the THOA: His insightful talk explained preparedness and issues related to equal distribution of corneas as an indication.

This important ophthalmic care assembly saw professionals from various parts of India coming together with renewed focus on new directions, techniques, and innovations for the cause of eye donation and corneal transplantation. Mr. Velu demonstrated the college’s dedication and promoted the improvement of eye care, further establishing the SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre as the key institution for the field.
