SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre Organizes Medical Camp at Karumbakkam

The Department of Community Medicine, SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, in collaboration with SRMIST, AM Health Care, and DVR Health Care, conducted a comprehensive medical camp on 21st September 2024 at Karumbakkam. The camp, which began at 9:30 AM, was focusedono offering the primary healthcare needs of the people and creating awareness on different health topics.

Several departments from SRM Medical College Hospital & Research Centre actively participated in the camp, including:

– Community Medicine
– General Surgery
– OBG (Obstetrics & Gynaecology)
– Paediatrics
– Dermatology
– Audiology

The turnout was excellent in the medical camp; it registered 158 ops. Of these 48 cases were givenyellow cards for further treatment at the SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre.
To a large extent, the efficiency of the camp was possible due to the cooperation of the departments, sponsors, and the local population. A special mention goes to Mr. Venkat, the Village President for his visiting, which made the camp special to the residents of Karumbakkam.

This medical camp clearly propels SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre’s mission to bring effective and efficient healthcare services to the doorsteps of the needy and the unserved rural population.
