SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre organized a 3-day Faculty Development Programme on Medical Education.

SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre (SRMMCHRC), SRMIST-Kattankulathur, conducted a 3-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Basic Courses in Medical Education from 8th October to 10th October 2024. The inauguration of the program was headed by Dr. Nitin M. Nagarkar, Pro Vice-Chancellor (In-charge) & Dean (Medical), SRMMCHRC, and many more faculties were present at the Medical Education Unit.

The FDP was envisaged to provide the faculty, with the current advancements in medical education, teaching methods, and practices to improve the standards of medical education. The sessions were designed to share knowledge and stimulate ideas among the participants.

Event Highlights:
~ The sessions provided practical training sessions, working seminars, and stimulating sessions on the development of curriculum, assessment, and application of technology in teaching.
~ The participants were guided through numerous processes that inherent the process of constructing new competencies of modern medical teaching, as well as to enhance learners’ experience for educators as well as students.

The 3-Day Faculty Development Program (FDP) is one of the many ongoing programs being implemented at SRMMCHRC to support the faculties. These FDPs enhance the academic achievement of the institution.
