Inauguration of SRM Centre of Excellence for Neuromodulation!!
The Department of Psychiatry at SRM Medical College Hospital & Research Centre (SRMMCHRC) has achieved another milestone with the inauguration of its Centre of Excellence for Neuromodulation on 18th November 2024. This advanced facility is set to redefine treatment protocols for neurological and psychiatric conditions through cutting-edge neuromodulation therapies.
The highlight of the inauguration was the unveiling of the repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) machine by the esteemed Chief Guest, Ms. Manimangai Sathyanarayanan, Director, SRMPS. rTMS is a state-of-the-art technology that uses targeted electromagnetic stimulation to treat a range of psychiatric and neurological disorders. This innovative therapy is now available at the Psychiatry OPD of SRM Hospital.
