Birac BioNEST MCH&RC Launched at SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, SRMIST

The SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre (SRMMCH&RC), SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), launched the Birac BioNEST MCH&RC to boost innovation and entrepreneurship in the fields of med-tech, health-tech, and biotech on 10th December 2024.

The event was inaugurated by Dr. Y. K. Gupta, President of AIIMS Jammu and Chairman of the Research Advisory Committee, SRM Medical and Health Sciences, SRMIST. During his keynote address, Dr. Gupta emphasised the importance of supporting young innovators and fostering a dynamic ecosystem for startups. He lauded the efforts of the SRMIST team and their contributions to India’s growing med-tech landscape.

Dr. Gupta praised the thriving research environment at SRMIST and encouraged the stakeholders to align their goals with the “Make in India” initiative, urging them to strive for advancements that strengthen India’s position in healthcare innovation.
