Health Camp Organized by SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre Benefits Over 200 Patients

The Department of Community Medicine, SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre (SRMMCHRC), successfully organised a medical health camp on December 7, 2024, at Maraimalai Nagar (MM Nagar). The camp was sponsored by the SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), the Institute of Indian Health Sciences (IIHS), and the MM Nagar Municipality.

The camp brought together a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals from the Departments of General Medicine, Respiratory Medicine, Dermatology, Audiology, ENT, Orthopedics, Dental, Ophthalmology with Optometry, and Community Medicine of SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre.

Distinguished guests, including Ms. Varalakshmi Madhusudhanan, MLA of Chengalpattu; Mr. Shanmugam, Municipal Chairman; and Mrs. Chitra Kamala Kannan, Municipal Vice Chairman, graced the event and extended their support for the camp.

The health camp provided free consultations and treatment to 222 outpatients. Among them, 101 patients requiring specialised care were referred for further free treatment at SRM Medical College Hospital and issued yellow cards to facilitate their care.
