SRMIST Conducts Multispecialty Medical Camp at Mamandur

The Department of Community Medicine, SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre (SRMMCH&RC), organised a comprehensive medical camp on June 19, 2025, at Mamandur village. The camp was sponsored by SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) in collaboration with Manoj Bhavan.

This outreach initiative aimed to provide accessible and quality healthcare to rural communities. A total of 86 outpatients (OPs) benefited from the camp, where free medical consultations, screenings, and health advice were offered across multiple specialities.

The camp witnessed the active participation of several departments, including:

   ● Community Medicine
   ● General Surgery
   ● Obstetrics & Gynaecology (OBG)
   ● Psychiatry
   ● Orthopaedics
   ● Dermatology
   ● Audiology
   ● Centre for Clinical Trials and Research (CCTR)
   ● Ophthalmology

Of the 86 patients screened, 60 were referred to SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre for advanced investigations and further treatment, ensuring continuity of care.

This initiative reflects SRMIST’s commitment to community service and its ongoing efforts to bridge healthcare gaps in underserved areas through collaborative, multidisciplinary medical outreach.
