SRM Medical College Postgraduate Wins “Best Special Mention Poster in Pancreas” at IASGCON 2025

Dr. Manoj Kumar, a second-year postgraduate in General Surgery from SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, earned national recognition at the 35th National Conference of the Indian Association of Surgical Gastroenterology (IASGCON 2025), held at ITC Grand Chola, Chennai.

He presented a poster titled “Acinar Cystic Transformation of Pancreas Mimicking Mucinous Cystic Neoplasm of Pancreas”, under the guidance of Prof. O. L. Naganath Babu, Head of the Department of Surgical Gastroenterology, and Dr. Karikal Chakaravarthi, Assistant Professor, Department of Surgical Gastroenterology.

Competing among over 420 national submissions spanning E-posters, E-videos, and papers, Dr. Manoj Kumar’s work was honoured with the “Best Special Mention Poster in Pancreas” award.

This achievement highlights SRM Medical College’s growing presence in national-level surgical research and underscores the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and innovation in the field of Gastrointestinal Surgery.
