SRMIST Conducts In-House FDP Focused on Holistic Well-Being

SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai, hosted its AICTE-approved In-House Faculty Development Program on Holistic Human Health from 18 to 22 November 2025. The UHV Committee and the Value Education Cell organised the five-day program to help faculty deepen their understanding of holistic well-being, gain clarity about the self and the body, and explore practical ways to sustain healthier lifestyles.

The sessions were led by Dr Sharmila Asthana, MBBS, MD (Paediatrics), AICTE Resource Person, and Shri Rajul Asthana, Vice Chairman, NCCIP, AICTE, with expert observations from Dr Kumaresan, Professor, Madras Institute of Technology, Tamil Nadu.

During the inaugural session, Dr Mythili, Additional Registrar, SRMIST, spoke about the importance of nurturing strong family relationships and the responsibility educators carry in shaping the next generation.

About 40 faculty members completed the program, reinforcing SRMIST’s ongoing commitment to value-based education and a more holistic approach to human health.
