Dr. Piyush Agrawal Delivers Faculty Lecture at Digital PCR Workshop

Dr. Piyush Agrawal, Ph.D, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Medical & Health Sciences, SRM Institute of Science & Technology, and a key member of the Division of Medical Research, served as a Resource Person at the “Digital PCR: Hands-on Workshop” conducted from 6 to 8 January 2026. The workshop was organised by the SRM Centre for Clinical Trials and Research in association with BIRAC BioNEST and QIAGEN, bringing together researchers and professionals from academia and industry.

As part of the Division of Medical Research’s ongoing efforts to promote advanced translational research and capacity building, Dr. Agrawal delivered a detailed lecture and led a hands-on session titled “Network-Based Biomarker Discovery in Cancer: Identification of Key Hub Genes.” The session highlighted the use of network-based analytical approaches to identify critical cancer biomarkers and demonstrated their relevance in precision medicine and clinical research workflows.

The program witnessed strong engagement from participants, with active discussions on integrating computational biology, digital PCR technologies, and translational research. The workshop reflected the Division of Medical Research’s commitment to fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, strengthening research capabilities, and supporting innovation in cancer diagnostics and biomedical research.
