Alumni Talk on “Building Blocks of a Pharmaceutical Physician” Organised by the Department of Pharmacology

The Department of Pharmacology, SRM Medical College Hospital & Research Centre, Kattankulathur, organised an Alumni Talk on “Building Blocks of a Pharmaceutical Physician” on 11th September 2026 at Demo Hall–2, Department of Pharmacology.

The session featured Dr. Shivani Kshirsagar, MD Pharmacology (2019 Batch), Senior Drug Safety Physician, Parexel, who joined the programme virtually through Google Meet. The session was projected at Demo Hall–2, enabling students and faculty members to participate in the academic interaction.

Dr. Shivani shared valuable insights into the role of a pharmaceutical physician and discussed career pathways within the pharmaceutical industry. Her professional experiences provided students with a practical understanding of opportunities beyond conventional clinical and academic career paths in pharmacology.

The Alumni Talk served as a meaningful platform for students to interact with a successful alumna and gain industry-oriented perspectives on professional growth, career development, and the evolving scope of pharmacology.

The session was attended by 20 participants and concluded with an engaging academic interaction between the speaker, faculty, and students.
