About Us


  • The Department of Orthopaedics in SRM was started in the year 2005 by stalwarts who had done excellent work during their career in government hospitals. In addition to this, the department also offers MS Orthopaedics with the sanctioned intake of 11 students.
  • We treat around 900 to 1000 patients every week in our outpatient department. We run specialty clinics every day for Spine, Arthritis, Pediatric disorders, deformities, Hand Surgery, and Arthroscopy.
  • Our faculty members have undergone fellowship trainings in Joint replacements, Arthroscopy, Paediatric orthopedics, and Micro-surgery of the Spine.
  • We have state-of-the-art equipment in the 3 operation theatres exclusively dedicated to our department. Our operating tables and image intensifiers are of international companies with cutting-edge technology.
  • Dedicated patient care, teaching and research are the goals of our department.
  • PG Eligibility : Pass In MBBS or its Equivalent Degree recognized by NMC (Canditates completing the CRRI / CRMI on or before 31st March of the Year) NEET PG score as prescribed by NMC.
