The B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering is a focused program designed to understand and solve industrial related chemical problems. The department offers a postgraduate program in chemical engineering. A prospective student who undergoes this program should be able to pursue his doctoral program in a variety of fields such as bio-chemical engineering, food technology, fertilizers, petro and petrochemicals.
The Department of Civil Engineering was established in the year 1985. It pulls out all the stops to create outstanding engineers. It is equipped with advanced teaching techniques and learning aids for undergraduate students and state-of-the-art research facilities for postgraduate students and doctoral candidates. The B.Tech Civil Engineering programme was accredited by NBA twice since 1988. The NBA accredited the M.Tech Structural Engineering programme in 2001 with an ‘A’ grade. A total of 31 batches of students have graduated since 1989 and are working in various reputed industries, and R & D organisations, besides in academia.
