About Us


  • The Super specialty department of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery was initiated for providing comprehensive cardiac surgical care to the patients in the year 2008.
  • Highly qualified Cardiac Surgeons, Cardiac anesthetists and Staff nurses are working dedicatedly in the department for providing continuous comprehensive cardiac surgical care.
  • We have our well-equipped OTs (2 theatres) and ICUs (Main ICU & Step down ICU).
  • Round the clock emergency care including chest traumas, with dedicated ICU.
  • Academic activities for B.Sc. Cardio Perfusion Technology(CPT) students and Paramedical staffs were actively underway in the department.

  • One seat has been sanctioned by medical council of India for specialization in Cardiothoracic Surgery, was recognized in 2014, currently vacant.

  • 24x 7 critical care Cardiothoracic ICU.
  • Round the clock emergency services.
  • Our ICU is equipped with 2 Mechanical Circulatory Support devices – Intra Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP).
  • Fibre Optic Bronchoscopy (FOB) to deal with Thoracic pathology.
  • Regular OP & IP facilities, 24x7 emergency opinion to admitted patients.
