About The Department

  • Forensic Medicine & Toxicology is a multidisciplinary subject bridging medicine & law. It deals with the application of medical knowledge for legal purposes, such as crime-related investigations solving sensational cases appraising the law courts to dispense justice.
  • Apart from these duties to enforce law and order and render unbiased justice academically the department is providing training to undergraduate students in performing medico-legal examinations such as age estimation, wound assessment, examination of survivors of sexual assaults and accused persons of rape, and also a drunken person
  • Educating ethics to medical students, applying standard guidelines for safe practice, and protecting themselves from civil torts, consumer, and criminal cases that may arise while dealing with patients.

Eligibility For Forensic Medicine & Toxicology

Pass in MBBS or its Equivalent Degree recognized by NMC (Canditates completing the CRRI / CRMI on or before 31st March of the Year) NEET PG score as prescribed by NMC.
