BOSS Workshop

Basic orthopaedic surgical skills workshop (BOSS) was conducted by the department of Orthopaedics on 8/4/23 in our college lecture hall from 9 am to 4pm. This was the first program of its kind conducted in a medical college under the guidance of Tamilnadu Orthopaedic Association. Around 105 persons including postgraduates and faculties participated in the program. The participants were provided hands-on skill training in fracture fixation with saw bone models. The afternoon session included cadaveric dissection and demonstration of surgical approaches in the upper limb. Lots of positive feedback was obtained from the participants with respect to our infrastructure, program content and organisation. Overall it was well appreciated and the workshop served its purpose.
