“C Batch” of MBBS 2024 Interacts with Dr. Senthil Anand, MBBS Alumnus of 2006 Batch

The “C batch” of MBBS 2024 at SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre had the privilege of interacting with Dr. Senthil Anand, an MBBS alumnus from the 2006 batch. Dr. Senthil Anand is currently serving as a Staff Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiologist at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans. He is also the Director of the Pulmonary Hypertension Program, as well as the Associate Program Director for the Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology Fellowship. In addition, he holds the position of Core Faculty for the General Cardiology Fellowship at Ochsner Medical Center.

Dr. Senthil Anand’s visit was a momentous occasion for both the students and faculty of SRM Medical College on January 10th, 2025. He delivered a highly insightful presentation to the general medicine and cardiology students at the SRM hospital, offering them valuable insights into his expertise in advanced heart failure, transplant cardiology, and pulmonary hypertension. His presentation was both educational and motivational, as he shared his journey from being an MBBS student at SRM to becoming a leading cardiologist in the United States.

It was an honour for the SRM Medical College community to welcome back Dr. Senthil Anand to engage in enriching discussions with him. The interaction served as an inspiration for our students, motivating them to pursue excellence in their medical careers and aspire to make impactful contributions to the field of cardiology.
