Celebrating One Year of Collaboration and Learning: Chengai Pediatric Meet Anniversary
Launched in April 2023 by the esteemed Dr. S. Subash, Head of the Department of Pediatrics and President of IAP Chengalpattu, the Chengai Pediatric Meet embarked on a journey of fostering collaboration, continuous learning, and enhancing clinical skills among pediatric postgraduates. The inaugural anniversary celebration took place on April 17, 2024, at the department seminar hall, marking a significant milestone in knowledge sharing and case discussions.
The event commenced with an inaugural session graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. Nitin M Nagarkar, Dean, and Medical Superintendent Dr. Venkatraman. Dr. S. Subash delivered the welcome address, highlighting the impact of the meeting on patient management and emphasizing the invaluable support from the administration in facilitating monthly pediatric meetings and other departmental events.
Dr. S. Thangavelu, Renowned pediatrician and Director of Mehta Hospital, Chennai honored the occasion as the Guest of Honor, delivering insightful presentations on crucial topics such as electrolyte imbalances and X-ray interpretation in pediatric patient management.
The anniversary meet provided a platform for networking, bringing together pediatricians and postgraduates from various institutes, including Melmaruvathur Adhiparasakthi Medical College, Chengalpattu Medical College, Chettinad Medical College, Dr.Kamakshi Memorial Hospital, Shri Sathya Sai Medical College, and Sree Balaji Medical College, among others.
Outstanding contributions were recognized through awards and certificates, acknowledging individuals and institutes for their dedication towards knowledge sharing and patient care improvement. Dr. C. Balaji, Professor, Pediatrics, expressed gratitude and extended the vote of thanks, recognizing the collective efforts of all participating institutes.
