Colosseum & Innovatia 2025 at SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre
SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre recently came alive with boundless energy, vibrant colours, and fierce house spirit as Agasthiyans, MBBS Student Council 2025, organised Colosseum 2025, the grand intra-college sports meet, and Innovatia 2025, a spirited cultural fest from 24th to 26th March 2025.
These three unforgettable days saw the convergence of athletic prowess and artistic flair, with the FOUR houses — Arryn, Lannister, Stark, and Targaryen — competing passionately for top honours.
COLOSSEUM: The Battle of Strength and Endurance
The event began with a spectacular inauguration ceremony, featuring a symbolic torch relay led by the sports captains and secretaries of each house — a tribute to unity, perseverance, and friendly competition.
Over the next three days, students showcased exemplary athleticism and team spirit in events including:
~ Outdoor & Team Sports includes Futsal, Cricket, Basketball, Throwball, Volleyball and Kho-Kho
~ Indoor Games such as Carrom, Chess, and Badminton, etc.
~ Track & Field Events comprises 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 4x100m Relay, Mixed Relay, Shot Put, Discus Throw, Tug of War, and Dodgeball.
At the end of the Colosseum, the House Targaryen grabbed the winner title, whereas House Stark emerged as the Runners-up
INNOVATIA: A Celebration of Talent and Creativity
As the adrenaline of the Colosseum subsided, the spotlight turned to the stage with Innovatia 2025 — an explosion of colour, sound, and raw creative expression.
From musical brilliance to powerful dance performances and captivating literary works, Innovatia became the heartbeat of campus life. Events included:
~ Music & Dance comprises Solo & Duet Singing, Battle of the Bands, Solo, Duo & Group Dance and more
~ Theatrics & Fun Events includes Movie Spoof, Adapt Tunes and Adzap
~ Literary & Fine Arts such as Creative Writing, Poetry and Prose, Sketching, Painting, Rangoli, Digital Art and more
House Lannister, winner of Innovatia and House Targaryen, once again became the runner-up of Innovatia 2025
The combined festivities of Colosseum and Innovatia concluded with a grand Valedictory Function, celebrating the unity, talent, and competitive spirit that defined the event in the presence of dignitaries.
