Electrophysiology Workshop Strengthens Clinical Skills for DM Postgraduates

The Department of Neurology at SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre hosted a hands-on electrophysiology workshop for DM postgraduates on 23 November 2025. The sessions were held at the Simulation Centre, a space designed to help young clinicians work through real clinical scenarios in a controlled environment.

The workshop opened with a walkthrough of core electrophysiology concepts, followed by guided demonstrations that showed how these techniques support neurological diagnosis. What this really means is that participants didn’t just listen to theory; they handled equipment, interpreted waveforms, and practiced procedures step by step.

Throughout the day, faculty members moved between stations, answering questions and helping participants fine-tune their technique. The setup encouraged discussion, quick problem-solving, and the kind of practical clarity that only comes from doing the work with your own hands.

The event ended with a brief reflection session, where the group shared what they found most valuable—from understanding subtle waveform patterns to learning how these tools shape real-time clinical decisions.

The workshop added solid value to the postgraduate training experience and highlighted the department’s focus on practical, skill-centred learning.
