In a remarkable display of unity and compassion, Department of Ophthalmology at the SRM Institute of Science and Technology organised the “Eye Donation Awareness Rally 2023” and the “Human Chain for Vision 2023” on September 8, 2023. The event took place under the clear morning skies, starting at 9:30 AM and lasting until 10 AM, with the meeting point at the iconic SRM Main Arch.
The highlight of the day was the prestigious “Flag Off Ceremony,” a momentous occasion graced by the presence of the esteemed Registrar of the SRM Institute of Science and Technology. The flag-off symbolised a collective commitment to raising awareness about eye donation, a cause that holds the potential to transform lives and bring light into the world of those in need.

The culmination of these events was the “closing ceremony,” held at 11 a.m. in the hospital seminar hall. This heartwarming gathering witnessed the presentation of “Testimonials” to three incredible Eye Donor families who, through their selfless acts, illuminated the lives of others.
