Laerdal Leadership Visits SRM Stratus Centre for Medical Simulation

The SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre welcomed the leadership team from Laerdal Medical to the SRM Stratus Centre for Medical Simulation on 7th May 2026, marking an important engagement focused on advancements in simulation-based medical education and healthcare innovation.

The visiting delegation included Mr. Reinaldo Lino, Vice President, Laerdal Medical (Asia Pacific & Latin America), Japan, who plays a key role in driving organisational excellence across diverse healthcare ecosystems, and Mr. Sanjeev Singh, Managing Director, Laerdal Medical India Pvt. Ltd., who has been instrumental in strengthening simulation-based education and resuscitation solutions across India.

The delegation was warmly received by Dr. R. Jayanthi, Dean, SRMMCHRC. During the interaction, discussions were held on emerging developments in simulation-based technologies, including the integration of Artificial Intelligence and advancements in clinical research trials.

Dr. Rachula Daniel, Head, SRM Stratus Centre for Medical Simulation, presented an overview of the centre’s high-quality simulation-based training programs conducted using Laerdal’s advanced human patient simulators and computer-controlled systems. The presentation highlighted the institution’s continued commitment to enhancing clinical competency and patient safety through experiential learning.

Expressing his appreciation after the visit, Mr. Reinaldo Lino said, “I am leaving energised and motivated with what I saw. It gives a sense of purpose to my job.”
