Medical Camp Organized by SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre and SOS Children’s Home

The medical camp was organized by the Department of Community Medicine, SRM Medical College Hospital, in collaboration with the SOS Children’s Home, Kamaraj Nagar, Pallavaram on 31st August 2024. This was an endeavor undertaken to ensure that healthcare services were made available to the wider population.

Various departments were involved including
➔ Community Medicine
➔ General Surgery
➔ Pediatrics
➔ Obstetrics and Gynaecology
➔ Otorhinolaryngology (ENT)
➔ Audiology
➔ Centre for Clinical Trials (CCTR)
➔ Clinical Psychology
➔ Psychiatry among others

Physicians, specialists, and other members of the medical personnel from these departments joined hands in providing medical advisory and checkups.

In total, 96 people were benefited from the camp were discharged and 46 cases along with the yellow card were referred for further treatment and care at SRM Medical College Hospital.

The camp demonstrated how SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre remained relevant in the discharge of its societal responsibilities in terms of health promotion.
