National Newborn Week 2023 celebrated at SRMMCH&RC

National Newborn Week 2023 was celebrated at SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre.

The National Newborn Week 2023, organized collaboratively by SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, Department of Pediatrics, and IAP Chengalpattu National Neonatal Forum. The week-long event, themed “Nurturing Newborn Lives Through Community Facility Engagement,” focused on neonatal cardiac emergencies.

Key Speakers and Dignitaries included Medical Pro Vice-Chancellor Lt. Col. Dr. A. Ravikumar; Dean, Medical, Dr. Nitin Nagarkar; Medical Superintendent, Dr. R. Arul Saravanan; Vice Principal, Dr. Leela K. V; Prof. and HOD, Pediatrics President, IAP Chengalpattu, Dr. S. Subash. Dr. R. Saileela, a pediatric interventional cardiologist from MIOT Hospital, delivered an insightful guest lecture.

The event spanned from the 15th of November to the 21st, providing an extensive platform for discussions and knowledge-sharing. The focus on neonatal cardiac emergencies reflects our commitment to advancing newborn healthcare through community engagement.
