SRM Centre for Clinical Pharmacology is Designated as a Regional Coordinating Centre Under the ICMR CAR Project
SRM Centre for Clinical Pharmacology, SRM Medical College Hospital & Research Centre has been designated as the Regional Coordinating Centre (RCC) for the South East region of India under the ICMR Clinical Pharmacology & Rational Use of Medicines (CAR) Project. This prestigious recognition comes in collaboration with St. John’s Research Institute (SJRI), Bangalore, and was officially announced in the esteemed presence of Dr. Prem Pais and Dr. Tony D.S. Raj, Dean, SJRI.
As part of this initiative, the SRM team successfully participated in the Training of Trainers (TOT) program at SJRI, Bangalore, in January, focusing on the latest updates in ICMR ICRAG-2 (Indian Council of Medical Research – Indian Clinical Research Advisory Group, Phase 2). The training was led by Principal Investigator Dr. Denis Xavier and conducted by esteemed faculty, including Regional Investigator Dr. Melvin George, Trial Investigators Dr. K. Subramaniyan and Dr. M. Logaraj, and Co-Investigators Ms. Kaviya Manoharan and Dr. Aamina Hussain.
