SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre celebrated International Women’s Day 2025 with ‘Accelerate Women’
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBG), SRMMCHRC, together with SRM College of Nursing, SRMIST, celebrated International Women’s Day 2025 on 4th March 2025 with a vibrant and impactful event at the OG OPD, SRM General Hospital (SRMGH). Themed ‘Accelerate Women,’ the celebration aimed to raise awareness about critical aspects of women’s health across all life stages.
Students from the department actively engaged patients and visitors through interactive stalls, educational posters, anatomical models, a food expo, cultural performances, and video presentations. Key topics covered included teenage health, pregnancy, infertility, and menopause, ensuring comprehensive awareness about women’s health. The skits and dances performed by students added an engaging touch, making complex health information more accessible to the audience.
The initiative was widely appreciated for its innovation and impact, reinforcing the need for holistic women’s healthcare. Faculty, students, and hospital staff joined hands to emphasise the significance of empowering women with knowledge and healthcare access at every stage of life.
This successful event stands as a testament to SRM College of Nursing and SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre’s commitment to advancing women’s health and education through community engagement and innovative learning.
