SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre Collaborates with SDNB Vaishnava College for Medical Camp in Pallur

The Department of Community Medicine, SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) – Kattankulathur through partnership with SDNB Vaishnava College in Pallur conducted a medical camp on the 3rd of October, 2024.

The camp involved medical departments of general surgery, OBG, pediatric, dermatology, ENT, Psychiatry, audiology, and community medicine. These departments offered their service by offering consultation on various health issues throughout the camp.

However, for OPD cases, 108 outpatients treated, and 21 cases were admitted and referred to SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre. Furthermore, yellow cards were given to patients for further medical care at the hospital.

Worth mentioning, Mrs. Nirmala Muthukumarasamy, Panchayat Head of Pallur, came to the camp and expressed her support for the further development of the work of healthcare workers and the improvement of locals’ healthcare.

The camp further serves as a testament to the Medical College in its service mission in Society, by staffing and providing outreach to neglected and marginalized communities’ health needs. This is a positive drive as it enhances the linkage between faculties and local communities and provides meaningful medical assistance and goodwill.
