SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre Hosts Free Medical Camp at Manivakkam

The Department of Community Medicine, SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, in collaboration with Dreamz Foundation, organised a free medical camp at Manivakkam on September 6, 2025. The initiative aimed to provide accessible healthcare services to the local community while raising awareness about preventive care.

Specialists from the Departments of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, ENT, Dermatology, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, Psychiatry, Audiology, and Community Medicine volunteered their time and expertise. Together, they offered consultations, screenings, and medical guidance across a wide range of health concerns.

The camp received encouraging participation, with 80 patients benefiting from the services provided. Of these, 31 individuals were identified as requiring further medical attention and were referred to SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre for advanced treatment, offered free of cost.

Through such initiatives, SRMIST and Dreamz Foundation continue their shared commitment to extending quality healthcare beyond hospital walls, making it accessible to underserved communities.
