SRM Medical College Organised Multispecialty Medical Camp at Reddipalayam

The Department of Community Medicine at SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre successfully conducted a comprehensive medical camp on June 26, 2025, at Reddipalayam. The initiative was generously sponsored by SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) and the Centre for Rural Development and Services (CRDS), aiming to extend quality healthcare access to underserved communities.

This multispecialty camp witnessed the active participation and support of several key departments, including:
● General Surgery
● Dermatology
● Ophthalmology
● Orthopaedics
● Psychiatry
● Paediatrics
● Obstetrics and Gynaecology (OBG)
● ENT

A total of 96 outpatients availed themselves of the services provided during the camp. After initial consultations and screenings, 90 individuals were referred to SRM Medical College Hospital for further evaluation and advanced care.
The event was further distinguished by a special visit from Mr. Philip Alexander, whose presence underscored the importance of community outreach and reinforced the institution’s commitment to holistic rural healthcare development.
