SRM RHTC Mamandur Organises Pulse Polio Immunisation Camp to Strengthen Community Health
SRM Rural Health and Training Centre (RHTC), Mamandur, organised a Pulse Polio Immunisation Camp as part of its ongoing public health outreach initiatives. The camp successfully immunised over 30 children from the local community, reinforcing the national drive toward eradicating polio.
The campaign focused on raising awareness among parents about the importance of timely vaccination in protecting children from preventable diseases. Health workers and medical interns from SRM actively participated, ensuring that every eligible child received the oral polio drops in a safe and supportive environment.
Speaking about the initiative, the organisers emphasised that while the numbers may seem small, each vaccinated child represents a vital step toward achieving a polio-free India. The event also served as a reminder of the continued need for vigilance and community participation in maintaining public health standards.
The SRM RHTC team continues to collaborate with local authorities and healthcare professionals to promote immunisation, hygiene, and preventive care across rural areas—ensuring that quality healthcare reaches every corner of the community.
