SRMIST and PREPARE Sponsored Medical Camp at Thandarai

The Department of Community Medicine, SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, organised a medical camp on 19 August 2025 at Thandarai, with support from SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) and PREPARE.

Specialists from the Departments of General Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Dermatology, ENT, Audiology, and Community Medicine extended their services at the camp.

A total of 98 outpatients were treated on the day. Of these, 35 patients were referred for further evaluation and treatment at SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, each provided with a yellow referral card to ensure free access to care.

The camp also received encouraging support from local leadership. Mr. Paneer Selvam, President of Sithanakavur, visited the venue and appreciated the efforts of SRMIST, PREPARE, and the participating medical teams in delivering essential healthcare services to the community.
