SRMMCH&RC conducted Hands-on Temporal Bone Dissection Workshop – STEMCON 2023

SRM Medical College Hospital & Research Centre, Department of ENT and Anatomy conducted STEMCON 2023 for the first time, which featured a hands-on “Temporal Bone Dissection Workshop” on 29th & 30th November 2023.

Inaugurated by Prof. Lt Col. Dr. A. Ravikumar, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (MHS), on 29th November 2023. This workshop provided a unique opportunity for participants to engage in practical, experiential learning, enhancing their understanding of temporal bone anatomy and surgical techniques through cadaver dissection. The expert faculty was led by Padmashri Prof. Dr. Mohan Kameswaran, Chief ENT Surgeon, Director, MERF and Prof. Dr. S. Raghunandhan, Consultant Otologist and Skull Base Surgeon, MERF.

The workshop aimed to bridge theory and practice in the fields of otorhinolaryngology, head and neck surgery, fostering skill development and knowledge transfer among the participants. 150 delegates from all over Tamil Nadu and neighboring states joined the workshop, making it a diverse and vibrant platform for professionals and enthusiasts to explore advancements in ENT through immersive ‘hands-on’ experiences.
