SRMMCHRC Observes World Hearing Day 2025 with an Awareness Rally
The Departments of Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology along with the Department of ENT at the SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre (SRMMCHRC) successfully organised an Awareness Rally on the occasion of World Hearing Day 2025, 3rd March 2025. The event aimed to highlight the importance of hearing health, early diagnosis, and preventive care in the community.
The rally was graced by esteemed dignitaries:

~ Dr. G. Selvarajan, Head – ENT, SRMMCHRC
Participants, including faculty members, students, and healthcare professionals, took to the streets, inside campus to spread awareness about hearing loss prevention and the importance of timely intervention and treatment. The rally emphasised the global message of “Ear and hearing care for all!”, reinforcing the need for accessible and inclusive hearing healthcare services.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Nitin M Nagarkar highlighted the critical role of awareness in reducing hearing disabilities and ensuring better communication for individuals across all age groups. Dr. R. Venkatraman reiterated SRMMCHRC’s commitment to community health initiatives, while Dr. Kala Samayan and Dr. G. Selvarajan emphasised the importance of early screening and regular hearing check-ups.
