A Warm Welcome to the MHA 2024 Batch: A Promising Start to an Exciting Journey

The 2nd Year students of the MHA program of Health Sciences, SRMMCHRC, SRMIST presented the welcome program for MHA 2024, the most jovial and magnificent welcome event. The event featured welcoming juniors, cultural programs, and knowledge transfer from staff and seniors symbolizing their passion for the cause.

Insights from Experts

Speaking on the program, Dr. V. V. Anantharaman quoted, “The strength of the fresh batch is 36 and you have come out with a large number of aspirants.” He also lauded the first years during the micro-teaching exercise and highlighted the top presentations of three first-year students. He insisted that the MHA program is among the most sought postgraduate programs among students. He emphasized discipline and encouraged students to ensure they attend all sessions and be on time for class and hospital assignments. “Your parents expect the best of you, or at least you should do something about following in the footsteps of our alumni,” he said.

Course Outlook and Career Prospects

Dr. M. Logaraj, Associate Dean, Quality Assurance (MHS) also came up with his perception about the journey of the MHA program and upcoming advancements in the future. He said that the course started in 2014 with a single student in his class, Mr. Murugan presently working in Singapore and now the course has grown up to the current batch holding 36 students. He spoke about a highly developed Course Curriculum in a detailed manner that serves the interests of the students and the healthcare sector. He revealed that the MHA graduates join the industry initially securing the position as ‘Operations Executives’ and, get promoted to managerial positions, thus an increase in their salary range from 3 lakhs to 6 lakhs, and can even earn more.

He flaunted that most of the alumni of the MHA program are now working in top hospitals like MIOT, Kauvery, SRM Global Hospitals, and Vijaya Hospital and some have secured employment in foreign countries.

Celebration and Cultural Programs

The ceremony concluded with the cake-cutting ceremony along with senior officials followed by the presentation of prizes to the participants in the different competitions. This atmosphere was further complemented by following each other; the celebration evening was charged with energy and ideas.

Upon commencement of this new academic journey of the MHA 2024, the department leadership defines the roadmap for success that leads hard-working students to follow and exploit all the available resources towards the continuity of the MHA program’s legacy at SRMMCHRC.
