SRMIST Sponsored Medical Camp in Vattampakkam, Extending Comprehensive Healthcare to the Local Community

SRMIST sponsored the medical camp organized by the Department of Community Medicine, SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre in Vattampakkam on April 23, 2024. This initiative aimed to provide accessible healthcare services to the underserved populations in the region.

Departments served the community including,

➔ OBG
➔ Paediatrics
➔ Dermatology
➔ Audiology

The enlisted departments delivered dedicated quality medical assistance and addressed diverse healthcare needs in the Community.

Highlighting the community’s importance in health initiatives, Ms. Maha Lakshmi Nachiappan, Panchayat President, paid a special visit to the camp, emphasizing collaborative efforts in promoting wellness.

The medical camp served as a vital platform for locals, providing essential healthcare services and consultations. A total of 56 outpatients (OPS) attended the camp. Among them, 34 cases were identified and referred with the yellow card for further specialized treatment and care at SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre.
