Alumni Talk – Department of Radio Diagnosis, SRM Medical College Hospital & Research Centre
The Department of Radio Diagnosis, SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, organized an insightful session with an Institute alumnus, Ms. Sushmitha A.
The first session of the Alumni Talk Series of the Department of Radio Diagnosis at SRM Medical College Hospital & Research Centre, SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), Kattankulathur, began on September 11, 2024. There were 80 participants who attended the virtual event, where Ms. Sushmitha A, B. Sc. (MIT) 2018–2022 & M. Sc. (Health Management) 2023–2024, currently a Patient Administrator—Imaging at The London Independent Hospital, UK, provided valuable insights into Education and Employment Experience in the UK.
Ms. Sushmitha, a patient administrator in imaging at the London Independent Hospital-circle health group, explained the different courses offered for students studying higher education in the UK. Presenting her experience and advice based on personal experience studying at MIT and having worked in other countries, she was able to share tips and ideas with B.Sc. and M.Sc. students eager for international experience.
The session also provided students with an informative forum to understand the realities of studying and working in the UK, including admission and health care employment.
The academic attendees that engaged in the session included Dr. Senthil Kumar A, Professor & Head of the Department, SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, faculty members & students, which led to productive questions about attaining an education in other countries as well as growing a fruitful career in health management and medical imagery.
As a result, the vision of the Alumni Talk Series was in its purpose to build on the series’ success and constantly bring valuable insights from successful SRM alumni to all the current students interested in effective studying and successful preparation for their possible future careers.
