Alumni Talk on “The Art and Ethics of Research Publication” Organised by the Department of Biochemistry

The Department of Biochemistry at SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre successfully organised an alumni talk titled “The Art and Ethics of Research Publication” on 7th February 2025 via online mode.

A special mention to our esteemed speaker, Dr. Revathi R., Associate Professor of Biochemistry, Shri Sathya Sai Medical College and Research Institute, Ammapettai, Chengalpet Taluk, Kancheepuram District, and a proud alumna of SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre.

The session commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. V. M. Vinodhini, Professor & Head, the Department of Biochemistry. Following a brief introduction, Dr. Revathi R. delivered an insightful lecture on the approach to scientific writing, publication, and ethical considerations in research publication. The session provided valuable guidance for students on publication requirements and best practices in scientific research.

As part of this event, an e-poster competition was conducted for MBBS students. The competition was judged by Dr. Revathi R., and the winners were announced at the end of the session.

This alumni talk served as an excellent opportunity for students to gain practical knowledge on research ethics and publication standards, reinforcing SRM’s commitment to academic excellence and professional development.
