About Us
- The Department of Cardiology started its services in 2006 with outpatient services and has rapidly improved its infrastructure and capabilities.
- Apart from dedicated Cardiac Cathlab and Cardiac ICU, the cardiology ward houses 20 inpatient teaching beds as well.
- Bedside ECHO has been the norm since 2009. DM cardiology courses were started in 2011 and in 2019 it was increased to 3 seats per year.
- The Expert Cardiac Care at SRM Hospital is at par with the Best Global Cardiac Intuitions across the world.

- Our interest also includes providing a high level of knowledge and skills to the Faculties and Postgraduates. We also strive to take part in Research projects in the field of cardiology across the country
Our Mission
- Interpretation of ECG & ECHO including advanced modalities like GLS and speckle tracking
- State-of-the-art cardiac cathlab procedures, and imaging guidance including OCT and IVUS
- Temporary and Permanent Pacemaker
- Expert ICU care in the form of defibrillation, central line insertion pericardiocentesis, and bedside
- Training of Faculties and staff to achieve ISO and NABH accreditation at the highest level
- Collaborating with other departments for research projects and faculty development programs
