Department of Critical Care Medicine

About Us


  • The super specialty department of Critical Care Medicine was established as a separate department and started functioning on the 4th floor of our hospital complex from Dec 1, 2023, for providing comprehensive critical care services to very sick patients.
  • We have well equipped 20 bedded ICU complex with monitors both invasive and noninvasive, ventilators as well a dialysis machine
  • Academic activities for B.Sc & M.Sc Critical Care Technology students are actively undergoing in the department.

  • Round-the-clock critical care services by a dedicated team headed by Dr.T.Swarnalingam M.B.B.S., M.D (Anaesthesiology), Professor & Head -Critical Care Medicine along with other Intensivists, staff nurses, respiratory therapists as well as ICU technicians
  • Our ICU is equipped with 8 ventilators, 6 dialysis machines including a CRRT machine along with both invasive and non-invasive monitors
