Investiture Ceremony Marks New Leadership at SRM Medical College and Research Centre
The investiture ceremony at SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre on April 17, 2024, heralded the commencement of a new era of leadership with the installation of the 2024 council batch. The event commenced with the traditional invocation, Tamil Thai Vazhthu at Lecture Hall 3 followed by a symbolic lamp-lighting ceremony, signifying enlightenment and knowledge.

Mr. Shawn Thomas, President of Council 2023, delivered the welcome address thereby expressing high hopes for the new council batch and offering unwavering support. Dr. Nitin. M. Nagarkar, Dean (Medical), SRMMCH&RC conducted the induction of the new council members for the year 2024.

Dr. Nitin. M. Nagarkar administered the oath-taking ceremony, where the council pledged their commitment to uphold integrity and serve the college and its community. Mr. K. V. K. Hariharan, the newly elected Council President for 2024, outlined the agenda and objectives for the council’s tenure, introducing the members for the batch of 2024, “The Valentheos,” symbolizing unity and strength.
The event was graced with the presence of the former council members, newly elected members, and the MBBS students (2nd & 3rd Year).
Expressing gratitude, Dr. K. Reshma, Vice President of the newly elected council, delivered the vote of thanks to the attendees. The ceremony concluded with the National Anthem.
