SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre organized the National CME on Hepatology and Liver Transplantation

The Department of Pathology at SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre (SRMMCH&RC) successfully conducted a National Continuing Medical Education (CME) event focusing on “Recent Updates in Hepatology and Liver Transplantation: Clinicopathological Perspectives” on June 19, 2024.

The event featured two eminent speakers:
➔ Dr. Joy Varghese, Director of Hepatology & Transplant Hepatology at Gleneagles Global Health City, delivered an insightful lecture on “Liver Transplantation in Chronic Liver Disease.”
➔ Dr. Muhul Vi, Senior Consultant Pathologist and Lab Director at Rela Institute and Medical Centre presented on “Liver Allograft Pathology.”

The CME session, held in the hospital’s seminar hall from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, provided a comprehensive update on hepatology and liver transplantation. It offered valuable insights to undergraduate and postgraduate Pathology students, as well as faculty from various departments.

The session was widely attended by UG and PG Pathology students and faculty members from various departments.

The event was a resounding success, enhancing the knowledge and practical understanding of hepatology and liver transplantation among attendees. The Department of Pathology at SRMMCH&RC remains committed to providing high-quality educational events to foster learning and professional development.
