The Department of Paediatrics at the SRM Medical College Hospital & Research Centre organized an engaging Alumni Talk on August 22, 2024. The event featured Dr. Swathi Padmanabhan, MBBS, MD, and Fellowship in Paediatric & Adolescent Endocrinology, who provided an insightful virtual session for current students and faculty.
Dr. Swathi Padmanabhan, an accomplished alumna of SRMMCHRC (Batch 2006-2012), currently serves as a consultant at Rainbow Children’s Hospital. In her talk titled “The Clock Ticks Early: Strategies for Using & Treating Precocious Puberty,” Dr. Swathi shared her in-depth knowledge of the timely diagnosis and management of precocious puberty. The session was well-received, offering valuable strategies and clinical approaches that greatly benefited the 45 participants.
The session highlighted the clinical intricacies of managing early puberty which underscored the importance of evidence-based treatments and comprehensive patient care. Dr. Swathi’s talk inspired attendees and reflected her commitment to contributing to medical education and continuous learning.
