Hospital Today and Tomorrow: Quality And Safety Hospitals (QASH)2023 The department of Community Medicine hosted the First National Conference on Hospital Today and Tomorrow: Quality and Safety Hospitals on 4th and 5th of September 2023. The resource persons from various institution were invited for the scientific sessions, Dr Lakshmi Prasad, AIIMS- Bhopal presented on “Quality and safety practices in CSSD”.
“Innovation in Health Insurance for Quality Care” was presented by Dr. S. Prakash, “Legal aspects- Doctor before court” was delivered by Mr. Samuel Abraham who is a Senior legal advisor, CMC Vellore and Ludhiana. “Recent advanced interventions in Parkinson’s Disease” were presented by Dr. V. Arul Selvan who is a senior consultant neurologist in Royal Care Super Specialty Hospital-Coimbatore. “Driving change for continual improvement: Engagement is the key” was taken by Dr. Savitha Nagaraj Head of department of Microbiology who is also Department of quality and head, Hospital infection control committee at St. John’s medical college and hospital, Bangalore.
Dr. Sandeep Bhalla, associate vice president, Echo India presented a lecture on “Establishing quality as a culture in healthcare organizations”. Dr. B. Amutha, Professor in Department Of Computational Technology SRM Engineering College, Kattankulathur presented on “Artificial Intelligence in Quality Healthcare”. Lastly, Dr. P.Kuganantham who is the Former city health officer, Chennai corporation-HOD, Social Medicine at SIMS Hospital presented on “Care Continuum in Quality healthcare”. Around 216 Delegates participated in this National Conference. About 60 abstracts for were received for oral and poster competition in the conferences
